Position: Manager

Lucie Yavruturk

Position: Playworker/Practitioner
Qualifications: Qualified Drama Teacher and registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland
Experience/Background: Lucie is a qualified teacher who has had experience working within Creative Arts Education with children across all age groups, with a focus on promoting self esteem, confidence and communication skills. She has worked in the out-out-school care sector and in her previous Play Practitioner role, was promoted to the role of Outdoor Learning Coordinator. She is interested in child psychology and how nature play is linked to the positive development of a child’s social, physical, spiritual and emotional wellbeing. She has always had a huge passion for nature and spent the majority of her childhood years playing outside in the Scottish Borders. Remembering those important experiences she had, she is now embarking on her role as Manager at Wonder Woods, to bring those same vital opportunities to children across West Lothian.

Interesting fact: I play the guitar and I still have a baby tooth 🙂

Angie Condie

Position: Playworker/Practitioner
Qualifications: SVQ Playwork at SCQF Level 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10,  Forest School Leader at SCQF Level 8
Experience/Background: Angie is a qualified Forest School Practitioner with a level 3 certification. She is a huge advocate for outdoor learning and is a lifelong learner. This is clear within the setting as she brings this passion to everything she does at Wonder Woods. Children are inspired by Angie’s interest in the nature and wildlife of the woodland and this supports them in feeling as much a part of the space as the trees and the birds. Angie’s background is in play and she has worked in childcare for the majority of her life, making the official move to Forest School Leadership after realising this is where her passion lay.
Interesting fact: I enjoy taking photographs and wild camping, last year I had to remove a tick from my body!
